Court upholds rapist's eight-year sentence
The Court of Appeal has upheld an eight-year prison sentence imposed on a Carrigallen man convicted of serious sexual offences against a child over an extended period. Damien Reilly pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court to three counts of sexual assault and five counts of rape committed between 1994 and 2000, when the victim was between nine and approximately fourteen years old.
